Tomas is a very well bred gelding out of the World Champion, National champion, numerous World Grand Champion producer, and 2xWorld Champion Get-of-Sire winner, SMO Bolero De Suerte and World Champion producer Alliance Zodiacs Q Tip. In 2020 Tomas showed in Halter, Hunter, Liberty, Jumper, Halter Obstacle and Classic Pleasure Driving. At his first show he won Unanimous Grand Champion Senior Gelding. However, most of all he loves to fly in jumper and won his first championship in open jumper at the 2020 Central Regional Championship along with Top 3 in Youth Jumper and a top 10 in a very large class of Youth Hunter. He followed that with his first World Championship, winning Reserve out of a class of 19 in the 2020 Youth Jumper 13-18 class.
In 2021, Tomas made his debut at AMHR shows in March winning Adult Jumper with a time of 23 seconds! He also won Open Hunter and 2x1st and 1x2nd in Amateur Hunter. He also placed 2nd in Amateur Jumper. In the AMHA show he started out with a 2nd in Open Hunter, and great placings in a large class of youth hunter along with 2nds in Open and Youth Jumper. At his 2nd show of the year, AMHR only, he did even better, winning 1st unanimously in all of his classes, hunter, jumper and obstacle!! His 3rd show, AMHR & AMHA was his best yet as he won at least 1x1st in 6 out of his 8 jumper/hunter classes including Open Jumper in AMHA with 3 clean rounds, in which all of the other horses were World Champions, and a 1st in an extremely competitive class of 21 Youth 13-18 Hunter horses. At the 2021 National Area V Show, he won the championship in both Open & Adult jumper as well as Amateur Hunter, placing Reserve in Open Halter Obstacle and Open Hunter. At all of his local level shows and Area V in 2021, Tomas was undefeated in Adult Jumper.
At the 2021 Central Regional Championship show, Tomas won the Reserve Championship behind his stablemate Amigo in both Youth 13-18 and Open Jumper. He also won the championship in Youth Obstacle 13-18, Yote Single and a reserve in Youth Hunter 13-18 along with a 4th out of 15 in Open Halter Obstacle and 5th out of 17 in Open Hunter.
Our first AMHR Nationals was an amazing show. Although we could only manage 2 Top 10's in Amateur & Adult Jumper Under, Tomas won Amateur Hunter and Amateur Halter Obstacle on the first day in classes of 53 and 47 respectively. The next day Tomas was Unanimously chosen as the champion in Open Hunter out of 45 and was Reserve in Halter Obstacle, due to a mistake that I made, but with 43 in the class, it was still a victory.
The following week was the 2021 AMHA World Show and that proved to be harder. Tomas was tired after Nationals especially on the first weekend, so all he could manage were Top 10's in Youth 13-18 Halter Obstacle and Jumper. On the 2nd weekend, he was a little better, but still only achieved a Top 10 in Open Halter Obstacle. He did try his hardest in Open Jumper though, winning the World Championship in an extremely competitive class of multiple World Champion jumping horses.
At home, Tomas loves trick training at liberty. Among others, he performs the Spanish Step and all halter obstacle movements, sidepassing, pivoting and backing in addition to bowing, kneeling and shaking hands.
